You're Kidding Me Expo

The You're Kidding Me Expo is designed to improve accessibility to health, education and family services for kids by connecting Lake Macquarie families to valuable information about local services that support the learning and development of young children.

The You're Kidding Me Expo brings children and family services together from all across the City and the Hunter Region. Attendees can discover a variety of programs, resources and services that Lake Macquarie parents and families can access.

You're Kidding Me Expo Friday 20 May 2022 will be held 9:30am- 12:30pm at The Place Community Centre, Charlestown.

In addition to ticketed events below, the following activities and services will be available:

Face-painting with Tiny Tutu’s
Petting Zoo with Penny’s Ponies
Nurse Penny from Sick Happens
Connect with local Doula’s from Newcastle Birth Movement
Sustainable and natural baby products with Simply made by Eliza, Timbernook and Itty Bitty
Find movement and peace with Yoga for Mumma
Kids active play space with Gymbaroo and Julie Logan Music
Child care options with Family Day care and long day care services
Engage with a variety of child therapists including speech, occupational therapy, and NDIS services
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander services
Q&A time with our sleep expert, Natalie Ebrill to ask how you can get a better nights sleep
A range of Hunter New England Health services for you to talk about holistic care for your child

The program links to our Children and Family Strategy(PDF, 3MB), which outlines the key focal areas Council has identified as important and viable in achieving a City that celebrates, promotes and cares for the lives of children and families.
