Winter hours have commenced at Charlestown Swim Centre.
Charlestown Swim Centre is open, however, COVID restrictions remain in place, including social distancing requirements, and facility capacities apply. In the event the facility reaches capacity, we will be required to restrict entries at times to remain compliant with the public health order and keep people safe.
Charlestown Swim Centre is operated by Council. It's open year-round and is home to the Charlestown Swim Club.
We will be conducting maintenance work on the 25m pool from Thursday April 1 until mid-2021. The 25m pool will be closed during this time. The 50m pool will continue to operate as normal. We do apologise for any inconvenience caused throughout the maintenance period. Some changes may be required to existing programs to accommodate the works. We will do our best to minimise impacts on visitors and keep the community informed of any potential changes.

Other facilities
- Change rooms, showers and toilet facilities are available for patrons use with restrictions in place. Limited kiosk and merchandise items may be available.
Recreational Swimming
Recreational swimming is permitted at our four Council operated Swim Centres. Restrictions are in place in line with advice from NSW Health. Bookings are not required. See full terms and conditions.
AquaFit and Squad
Bookings for AquaFit and STOMP Squad are not required.

What is Senior STOMP Squad?
This is a squad for persons that enjoy mixing up their existing training for surf sports, triathlons, open-water, masters or professional swimming.
A Lake Mac Swim Centre Coach will ensure that participants get a quality work-out following a guided fitness program in this 60 to 90 minute session.
Senior STOMP is for persons aged 14 years and over.
What is Junior STOMP Squad?
This is a squad for persons that enjoy mixing up their existing training for surf sports, triathlons, open-water or professional swimming.
A Lake Mac Swim Centre Coach will ensure that participants get a quality work-out following a guided fitness program in this 60-minute session.
Junior STOMP is for persons aged 13 years and younger.
