Draft Foreshore and Waterway Development Guidelines for Residents

Lake Macquarie City Council’s draft Foreshore and Waterway Development Guidelines for Residents and proposed Lake Macquarie Development Control Plan (DCP) amendments are on exhibition from Tuesday 12 December 2023 until Wednesday 31 January 2024.

The draft guidelines and proposed DCP amendments will support sustainable development along the Lake Macquarie foreshore by providing the community with clear, up-to-date information on best practice designs and approaches to foreshore development.

Copies of the draft Foreshore and Waterway Development Guidelines for Residents and proposed Lake Macquarie Development Control Plan (DCP) amendments are available to view during the exhibition period at the following locations:

  • Council's Customer Service Centre, 126-138 Main Road, Speers Point
  • Online at shape.lakemac.com.au.

Written submissions on the draft Foreshore and Waterway Development Guidelines for Residents and proposed Lake Macquarie Development Control Plan (DCP) amendments should be received by Council before close of business on Wednesday 31 January 2024 and be addressed to Environmental Systems, Box 1906, Hunter Regional Mail Centre NSW 2310 or via email [email protected].Online submissions can be made via shape.lakemac.com.au.

Disclosure of Political Donations and Gifts: All persons who lodge a submission are required to declare any relevant political donations and/or gifts in accordance with Section 10.4 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979. An information and disclosure form is available in Related Information.

Council will release all submissions received upon request, in accordance with the provisions of the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009.
