Some of our services are taking a short break over Christmas and the New Year. There are no waste, recycling and green waste collections on Christmas Day. All waste collections between Wednesday 25-Friday 27 December will occur a day later than usual.
Our Customer Service Centre is temporarily located at Speers Point Library, adjacent to Council's Administration Building.
Toronto Cemetery is an urban-styled cemetery with a large allocated area for future burials. The cemetery has a mix of older monumental burials and lawn/beamed sections.
Rows are set out in general, Anglican, Uniting, Presbyterian and Catholic sections. Perpetual Interment Rights for plots are available for reservation and immediate need.
Ashes can be interred (buried) in family graves by a monumental mason, grave digger or organised through a Funeral Director. Ashes can also be installed in the niche wall with a granite plaque located in the cemetery grounds.

The oldest existing headstone is for members of the Fennell Family, with the first interment (burial) for Olive Fennell, a 14-month-old infant, in 1898. This white marble heritage headstone is an example of turn of the century masonry and is located in the Old Anglican section of the cemetery.
