Need an additional garbage service?
We offer a number of flexible options to help you manage your waste. You can order an additional garbage service online or contact us on 02 4921 0333. Fees and charges apply.
Option 1 - Get more space with an additional 240L garbage bin that is collected each fortnight.
Option 2 - Get your existing garbage bin collected weekly.
If you need a new garbage bin for your additional service, you can purchase one as part of your service application and have it delivered to your property, or purchase one from a hardware store. Fees and charges apply.
What if my garbage bin is missed?
If your garbage collection service is missed, call us on 02 4921 0333.
What if my bin needs repairing?
To report damage to your garbage bin and organise bin repairs (conditions apply) call us on 02 4921 0333.
What if my garbage bin is stolen or needs replacing?
If you need a new garbage bin, you can purchase a 240L bin (or 140L bin if your strata property has a downsize strata waste package) online with your credit card and have it delivered to your property. Fees and charges apply.
What if I've moved to a new property?
You can organise your new garbage, recycling and green bin services online or contact us on 02 4921 0333.
If you need a new garbage bin for your new service, you can purchase one as part of your service application and have it delivered to your property, or purchase one from a hardware store. If you choose to purchase a bin from Council and have it delivered, the bin will be delivered as soon as possible (which is generally within 3 business days after receiving the application for the new bin). Fees and charges apply.
Please note: Green and recycling bins are provided by the waste contractor and do not need to be purchased by the property owner.
Additional services for those with a medical condition
Individuals that generate excess waste due to an ongoing medical condition that cannot be managed through the standard kerbside garbage and recycling collection service may be eligible to apply for additional waste collection services. Learn more about how to apply for this assistance.
Assisted waste collection service (Blue Dot Service)
Council provides a special needs waste collection service, commonly known as a Blue Dot Service for those who are unable to take their bin to and from the kerb due to a medical condition, age or disability. Council will collect your bin from an agreed location from your property and return it to you emptied. To apply for a Blue Dot Service, please complete and return the Blue Dot Service application form signed by your general practitioner.
Individuals that generate volumes of medical waste due to an ongoing medical condition that cannot be managed through the standard kerbside waste collection service, may be eligible to apply for either an additional garbage collection services. Learn more about how to apply for this assistance.
When does my additional garbage service start?
Your general waste bin will have a sticker placed on it in the five business days following processing of your application.
It is important that you do not remove this sticker as it lets our staff know that your additional service has been approved for collection.
A week after the processing of your application, your new service can be presented for collection on your normal collection day.

Condition of service
