Description
Spend this Australia Day at the Lake Mac Festival! The festivities will begin with the flag raising ceremony and national anthem at noon, followed by family movie "Oddball" showing on the big screen. There's free activities for the kids, including face-painting, a mobile video games van, umbrella painting (limited to first 100 participants), as well as Aboriginal storytelling and the Naruta-Ka-Wa (Great Sky Lizard of Pulbah Island) story quilt on display. From 1.30 - 5.30pm, there will be live music by local performers and the annual Scouts canoe race kicks off at 4pm. The evening concert starts at 6.30pm and will feature 80's chart toppers, Pseudo Echo, and Soul singer, Lisa Hunt. A spectacular fireworks finale will cap off the night at 9pm. The Lake Mac Festival is supported by Maitland Mutual Building Society.
