Applications open for Living Smart stallholders

Applications are now open for stallholders to take part in this landmark event - recognised at the 2018 Australian Event Awards as the nation's best community event of the past 12 months.

We're thrilled to announce Gardening Australia host Cost Georgiadis as our 2019 Living Smart Festival headline speaker. Costa, whose passion for sustainability, conservation, the environment and permaculture knows no bounds, will feature throughout the day at our Saturday main event on Saturday 28 September.

We're celebrating our 10th anniversary in 2019 with an even bigger and better festival featuring a weekend of workshops, cooking demonstrations, eco-living displays and more.

For the first time ever, the festival will be spread across three exciting days, from September 27-29.

Feast for the Senses returns on the evening of Friday 27th following its succesful launch last year, while the main Living Smart Festival activities will take place on Saturday 28th. This year's Living Smart Festival will also feature a family-friendly Sunday program of live music, entertainment and other activities, taking our core messages of environmental education and sustainability to an even broader audience.

Living Smart Festival is one of the largest environmentally focused community events in Australia, raising awareness of environmental issues, fostering a love of the outdoors and inspiring residents to live more sustainably.

Its ongoing success was recognised at the 2018 Australian Event Awards, with the 2017 instalment named Australia's best community event of the past 12 months. The 2019 instalment will again be a single-use plastic-free event, where visitors are encourage dto bring their own drinking bottles and bags.

Stay tuned to Council's website for more details about this year's event.
