Looking for a rewarding volunteer experience and passionate about giving back to make a difference to your community?

Lake Macquarie City Council is calling for volunteers to help bring arts, culture, history and literacy to life through its volunteer program.

Manager Arts, Culture and Tourism Jacqui Hemsley said the volunteer program aims to create connections between community members and culture through volunteering opportunities.

“Volunteers play an important role in the delivery of Council services, programs and events, helping to create a strong and inclusive community,” Ms Hemsley said.

“We are seeking applications from volunteers who are passionate about the City and the region, friendly and approachable, and looking for ways to contribute to their community.

“We have a number of volunteer placements available across Lake Mac Libraries, the art gallery and other cultural venues, as well as at our popular City events and festivals.”

Current opportunities include cataloguing museum collection, events and programs and SEEN@Swansea volunteers, as well as tourism ambassadors for the City.
