Best spots to take your dogs in Lake Macquarie

In Lake Mac there are many differrent places you can take your pets to stretch their legs. From beaches and beautiful parks to lakeside reserves, your furry friends will be sure to have a great time.
We’ve compiled a list of unique, locally loved spots to visit.
Speers Point fenced dog exercise area
Located only a short walk from the popular Speers Point Park this fenced dog exercise area is a growing hotspot for many dogs and their owners. With a massive space of land (10,000m2), free from any debris or low-hanging tree’s, they can really run wild.
Featuring an obstacle course, shaded area and water fountains they can choose to spend the whole day playing around, meeting new friends or having a special one on one bond with their owner.
Hams Beach dog exercise area
Nestled beside our beautiful coast, Hams Beach has a leash free spot reserved for dogs. A favourite from locals surronding the area your furry friend can dash down the coast while you choose to either; relax by the seaside, jog beside or even go for a splash in the water.
Croudace Bay dog exercise area
With a wide open space sat right by the water, Croudace Bay park is a perfect area to relax, unwind and spend some time with your best friend. With an open, unobstructed view of the lake and boats it’s truly a beautiful sight. Not to mention the amount of playing field Croudace Bay Park has to offer. Although its opening hours are limited to between sunrise-10am and 4.30pm-sunset daily, the wait is worth every feature it holds.
