All About Women satellite event comes to Lake Macquarie
Date posted: 21 February 2019
You don't need to be at the Sydney Opera House on Sunday 10 March to experience the main stage action of All About Women.
Lake Macquarie City Council and Community Activities Lake Macquarie are excited to be streaming three headline sessions, live from the festival.
Community Planner (Children & Community), Jessica Salvador, said All About Women features emerging new voices from around the world speaking about feminism.
“All About Women, now in its seventh year, celebrates International Women’s Day with a full day of discussions and events,” Ms Salvador said.
“This year’s program looks at the past, present and future of feminism and will feature interesting discussion topics including Me too: year two and Feminism in the Arab World, as well as a special discussion panel with Julie Bishop (Liberal Federal Member for Curtin), Linda Burney (ALP Federal Member for Barton) and Sarah Hanson-Young (Greens Senator for South Australia) about female representation in politics.
“We are excited to be able to stream three headline sessions from this event and an exclusive backstage interview to a local audience in Lake Macquarie.”
