Awarded ‘Best Play Space in Australia’ by Parks and Leisure Australia, the Lake Macquarie Variety Playground at Speers Point Park is a popular place for families to visit during the summer school holidays.
The all abilities playground, which is fenced and covers about two hectares, features a double flying fox, 12-metre high climbing tower and giant slide, water play area, maze, sensory garden and bike track. The playground has something for children of all ages to enjoy!
If you need to take a snack break to refuel the kiddies, nearby in Speers Point Park, you can visit Sal’s cafe to pick up a bite to eat or bring your own picnic basket and take advantage of the endless amount of green space the Park has to offer. Nearby facilities also include toilets, seating areas, barbecues, bike path and car parking.
This inclusive playground is a great place to encourage children to enjoy and explore the outdoors in a safe environment, and an exciting place to spend a day out this summer.
