Tennis Central's hard work and dedication was recognised in a ceremony over the weekend, when they took out the award for ‘Most Outstanding Club – Country’ at the Tennis NSW Awards.

Operating out of Belmont Macquarie Tennis Courts for just three years the Club is the first tennis club in the region to win the award.

Director and Head Coach, Michael Watts said it is a significant achievement for the Club.

“Since taking on the commercial lease from Lake Macquarie City Council in 2015, we have seen growth in all areas of the sport at our facility, Mr Watts said.

“It was an honour to accept the award and for our club to be recognised by Tennis NSW for the hard work we are doing to the sport in the region.”

The awards recognise tennis clubs, organisations and individuals in the New South Wales tennis community that have contributed to the sport of tennis.
