Weed wanderers and garden escapees workshop

Friday 19 October, 10-11am

Morisset Library

Become a better bushland neighbour by avoiding popular (non-native) plants that have a major impact on our natural areas by participating this this week’s sustainability workshop. Bookings are essential.

Greater Bank Fernleigh 15

Sunday 21 October 8am-1pm

Fernleigh Track

The annual 15km race is the one opportunity for runners and walkers to complete the entire length of the Fernleigh Track without traffic or bicycles. They will be awarding unique finisher medals to all individual participants who complete the 15km journey. Council is a proud sponsor of this year’s Greater Bank Fernleigh 15.

Respect all Markets

Sunday 21 September, 9am-2pm

Cooranbong Park

At Respect all Markets you will find vendors showcasing their local produce, products, art and crafts. A number of delicious food and beverage vendors will also be there for a late breakfast, morning tea or lunch.

Annual Art and Craft Exhibition

Timbury Hall and Administration building at CA Brown Village Booragul

Anglican Care Auxiliary will hold the 41st Annual Art and Craft Exhibition and Sale this weekend. More than 120 exhibitors will be showcasing their art and craft. Devonshire morning teas and light lunches available.

Lake Macquarie City Art Gallery

Young children and their families can enjoy simple art activities at Art Space. Supervised by friendly staff and gallery educators, these sessions give children the opportunity to engage with the exhibitions and enjoy some creative processes of their own.

Waste and plastic pollution issues continue to gain wide media attention and provoke an emotional response from the public.
