Roadworks continue at The Boulevarde Toronto

Works to The Boulevarde, Toronto are ahead of schedule. Stage 1 of the roadworks is now complete, except for the final asphalt layer and linemarking, which will be completed as part of Stage 2 works.

Works on Stage 2, the northern side, from the Pemell Street intersection to west of the Post Office, have commenced this week.

If we continue to progress at the current rate, we expect to be able to complete the remaining works for the entire project before the end of the year.

To minimise disruptions to businesses along The Boulevarde we will move to night roadworks from 30 November, and expect to complete all works by 14 December.

Council’s Manager Assets, Helen Plummer, said that once completed, the roadworks will improve traffic flow and increase safety for motorists, pedestrians and cyclists.

“We would like to thank the community and local businesses for their patience during the streetscape upgrade and now the road rehabilitation works. These works will provide a consistent, high-quality road surface that will be much more functional and aesthetically pleasing than the existing road.”

“Council is committed to working with the community to minimise construction impacts.”
