Celebrate Children’s Week in Lake Mac

Date posted: 12 October 2018

Lake Macquarie City Council will host a range of free, fun and interactive activities this October to celebrate Children’s Week 2018.

Council’s Acting Manager Community Planning, Andrew Bryant, is inviting the community to attend three free community activities at Valentine, Redhead and Warners Bay.

“Children’s week recognizes the right for children to enjoy childhood and Lake Macquarie encourages all children and families to enjoy this special week for our youngest citizens,” Mr Bryant said.

“Council’s mobile library, The Rover will be on hand at each of the events, providing an opportunity for children to learn and develop new skills in a safe and welcoming environment.”

Each year, Council host events around the lake to celebrate the significance of all children and to provide them the opportunity to learn and grow in a safe controlled environment.
