Council meeting highlights – Monday 8 October

Modification to delivery and waste collection timeframes at Swansea McDonald’s

Council approved an application to modify waste and delivery timeframes for Swansea McDonald’s to allow waste collection and deliveries to occur between 7am and 6pm Monday to Saturday and 8am to 6pm Sundays and public holidays.

Exhibition – Draft Cherry Road Eleebana Precinct Master Plan

Council endorsed the exhibition of the draft Cherry Road Precinct Master Plan for a period of 28 days. The Master Plan provides a review of opportunities and constraints to development within the area, as well as current and future transport, utility and environmental connections.

Cooranbong – 1 into 12 lot subdivision

Council approved a development application at Cooranbong for a 1 into 12 lot Torrens Title subdivision, in the residential estate known as Watagan Park.

Planning Proposal – Belmont Golf Course

Council endorsed a revised Planning Proposal to amend the Lake Macquarie Local Environment Plan 2014 to include ‘Recreation Facilities (outdoor)’ as an additional permitted land use on parts of Belmont Golf Course. The amendment will give Belmont Golf Club more certainty for operations currently underway, and will not conflict with Council’s adopted Lake Macquarie Coastal Zone Management Plan.

Glendale – Proposed alterations and additions to an education facility

Council approved a development application for proposed alterations and additions to Newcastle Waldorf School, Glendale. The application is for the construction of a new two-storey classroom building for the school’s high school facilities to accommodate the existing student population.
