Spin in Public Day

Saturday 16 September, 10am-2pm
Charlestown Library, corner Smith and Ridley streets, Charlestown

Spin in Public Day is an international event where spinners can share and showcase their craft. Join local spinners and weavers as they demonstrate traditional and modern weaving techniques using a variety of fibres. Drop in anytime between 10am-2pm.

Lake Macquarie City Art Gallery, First Street, Booragul

Join writer and critic, Conor McCarthy, with guest writers Wendy James, Barry Maitland and Rosemarie Milsom as they discuss The Ball Jar by Sylvia Plath and Their Brilliant Careers by Hunter-based writer, Ryan O’Neill. Books will be available for purchase from the Gallery shop. Refreshments will be served and all are welcome at this free event.

Kahibah centenary celebration
