Council is working to prevent the City's bushland, beaches and lake from becoming a dumping ground.
If you see someone illegally dumping rubbish, we encourage you to contact our Customer Service Centre on 02 4921 0333 or email firstname.lastname@example.org with the following details:
- date, time and location of the event
- description of any vehicles involved, including number plate details if possible.
You can also report illegal dumping directly to RID online.
Reducing the impact of illegal dumping
Throughout the past year, we have undertaken a series of work projects to reduce vehicle access to areas where illegal dumping frequently occurs.
You can help keep Lake Macquarie clean all year round by volunteering in our Eco Angel program. Council will provide everything you need to clean up and will dispose of the waste you collect for free.
