The Lake Mac Big Weekend, 13-14 October provides an opportunity like no other in the Hunter – from superboats and jetski racing to markets, free water sports and a food and wine festival, there’s something for everyone.

Drop the flag competition
We're offering you the chance to WIN the best seats in the house to experience all the live superboat action from the water! As guests of the Hogs Breath Offshore Racing Start Boat, you and a mate will lead the first lap of the OffShore Superboats Championships on Saturday 13 October and then drop the flag for the start and finish of the race. Simply, tag a mate to share this experience with on our competition post on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. Conditions apply.
|Jet and Jive concert||Friday, 6-9pm||Warners Bay Foreshore||The weekend will kick off with a free concert in the podium at Warners Bay foreshore|
|Superboat Championships||Saturday 1.20pm
Sunday 11am and 1pm
|Lake Foreshore||Spectators can line up along the lake foreshore to watch high octane vessels race at speeds of up to 200km/h. The best viewing spots will be Warners Bay foreshore to Eleebana and Marmong Point foreshore reserve. You can also tune into 97.3FM for live race broadcasting both days. |Junior demonstration runs||Saturday 12.15pm

|Support the junior riders as they test the race course before the Superboats take to the stage. Find out more at superboat.com.au|
|PWC jet ski racing||Saturday 9.30am-5pm
|Best viewed from Lions Park, Eleebana||Experience the adrenaline and excitement of PWC Jet Ski Racing. Saturday will feature endurance racing and Sunday will showcase circuit racing.|
|Aerobatic Displays with Matt Hall Racing||Saturday 11.45am, 2pm
Sunday 9.45am, 11.45am
|The team at Matt Hall Racing will dazzle crowds with a display that will keep your eyes glued to the sky.|
|Come and try water sports||Saturday and Sunday, 10am-3pm||Marmong Point Sailing Club||Free water sports on the lake for families of all-ages. Secure your spot along the foreshore to watch the Superboats and enjoy a sausage sizzle. Hosted by Marmong Point Sailing Club.|
|Warners Bay markets||Saturday and Sunday, 9am-4pm||Warners Bay foreshore (opposite the main shops)||Warners Bay will come alive with markets, food stalls, children's amusements and live entertainment. Hosted by the Warners Bay Chamber of Commerce.|
|Exhibitions||Saturday and Sunday, 10am-3pm||Warners Bay Foreshore (adjacent South Creek)||Community displays, a sausage sizzle and activities for the children. Hosted by the Eleebana Lions Club.|
|Wood workers open day||Saturday and Sunday, 8am-4pm||Marmong Point Community Hall||Check out the handicrafts of the Lake Macquarie Woodworkers. Parking is available on-site. Over the road try the free watersports at the Sailing Club and watch the live Superboat racing action.|
|Marmong Point foreshore||Saturday and Sunday||Marmong Point Foreshore, end of Nanda Street||Grab a prime position on the foreshore to watch the live action. A licenced pop-up bar will be operating along with food trucks. Parking is available at the Marmong Point Community Hall or Lake Macquarie High School. NOTE: unfortunately the pop-up bar has been cancelled in light of this week's wet weather.|
|Show and Shine||Saturday, 7.30am-3pm||Speers Point Park||If you’re a car enthusiastic you won’t want to miss this. Check out the veteran, vintage, hot rods and classic vehicles on display, along with food stalls and music. Hosted by Newcastle Restored Vehicle Club.|
|Lake Mac Farmers Markets||Saturday, 7.30am-1pm||Speers Point Park||Interact with local farmers and enjoy fresh produce including fruit and vegetables, preserved foods, organic foods, local art and craft and hot breakfasts.|
|Food and Wine Festival||Sunday, 11am-6pm||Speers Point Park||Enjoy wine and beer tastings, cooking demonstrations with MasterChef Contestants, food trucks, delicious desserts and entertainment for the whole family. Hosted by Tangerine Events.|
