Making a submission

If you consider you may be affected by a development, you can make a public submission to Council.

Online

You can view a list of applications currently on notification, along with the information that has been submitted with the application.

Once you have viewed this information, you may wish to make a submission to Council objecting to, or supporting the proposal.

Step 1.Things to consider

  • Submissions must be submitted during the notification period of the application.
  • In your submission you should specify whether you object or support the development, and the reasons for this.
  • If you are making a submission and have made a reportable political donation or gift in the last two years, you will need to complete a political donations and gifts disclosure statement.(PDF, 390KB)
  • Any submission will be publicly available on our website, including the submitters name and address.
  • Submissions may also be accessed under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009.  Council may also reproduce submissions in Council reports or in court proceedings.
  • Council will not provide individual written responses to the matters raised in submissions, however all submissions made within the specified period will be considered in the assessment of the application prior to the determination.

Once you have considered the information above, visit our Customer Service Centre where staff will assist you in completing your submission on line.
