The draft Local Environmental Plan (LEP) amendment seeks to remove the land reservation acquisition layer off properties, and on certain properties, land will be rezoned. These are as follows: rezoning from SP2 Infrastructure to C2 Environmental Conservation, from RE1 Public Recreation to C3 Environmental Management, and from RE1 Public Recreation to RE2 Private Recreation. The changes will enable future financial sustainability of Council, and rezoning to better reflect the current uses of land. Mapping and words in the Planning Proposal mention conservation zones as E zones, for example E2 Environmental Conservation. Since that Planning Proposal was started, the Local Environmental Plan was altered so that E zones are C zones.
