Cr Bishop was elected to Council in 2021 and served as Deputy Mayor from 25 September 2023 to 14 September 2024.

In her professional life, Cr Bishop has worked in both the education and health sectors, as well as volunteered in the community for numerous sporting and health organisations.

Cr Bishop is passionate about the arts, libraries, the environment, the provision of accessible spaces for our community, building the economy through sustainable development while maintaining the unique landscapes and relaxed lifestyle of our local government area.

Cr Bishop is keen to continue being a voice to help shape the city now and for the future. She is honoured to serve the Lake Macquarie community again.
