Standing Committee and Ordinary Council Meetings – November 2020 and Christmas and New Year meeting arrangements

Council will consider the following schedule of meetings for the second half of 2020:

 

  • Standing Committee meetings on 12 October instead of 19 October
  • Ordinary Council meeting on 30 November instead of 23 November
  • Last standing Committee/Council meetings for 2020 will be held on Monday 7 December (Standing Committee from 6.30pm) and Monday 14 December (Ordinary Council from 6.30pm)
  • First Standing Committee/Council meetings for 2021 will be held on Monday 8 February 2021 (Standing Committee from 6.30pm) and Monday 22 February 2021 (Ordinary Council from 6.30pm)

 

Valentine Hydrotherapy Pool – Feasibility Assessment

Council will consider a report on the Valentine Hydrotherapy Pool. The recommendation should the Valentine Hydrotherapy Pool Committee decide to relinquish their lease is for

Council to work with the Committee to identify opportunities to lessen any impacts the closure of the facility may have on users, and through the current review of the Pool Service Delivery Model, investigate options for inclusion of a hydrotherapy pool at suitable Council owned facilities.

Lake Macquarie Waterway Flooding and Tidal Inundation Policy Review

Council will consider adopting the updated Lake Macquarie Waterway Flooding and Tidal Information Policy. The revised Policy includes several minor changes such as address, typographical and grammatical errors, as well as updates to bring it in line with current legislation.

Rescind Council Policies – Art Gallery Acquisition Policy and De-accession of Artwork Policy

As part of an internal review of processes and practices Council staff identified that Council did not rescind the Art Gallery Acquisition Policy and De-accession of Artwork Policy when Council adopted the Cultural Collections Policy in March 2020. Council will consider rescinding these policies to correct the administrative error.
