Exhibition of alterations to Lake Macquarie City Council ward boundaries

Council endorsed an amended Ward Boundary proposal for community consultation for 42 days.

The NSW Local Government Act 1993 requires councils to review ward boundaries to ensure the difference in the number of voters across each ward does not exceed 10 per cent.

Recommendations of the Traffic Facilities and Road Safety Committee – June 2023

Council approved six recommendations from the Traffic Facilities and Road Safety Committee, including:

• A roundabout, signage and line marking at Watagan Park Estate, Cooranbong
• The installation of no parking restrictions on the western side of Talka Lane, Blacksmiths
• The installation of four-hour timed parking restrictions from 9am-5.30pm all days in the car park adjacent to Karakai Park at 90 Lake Forest Drive, Murrays Beach
• The installation of no stopping signage fronting house number 29 Kalaroo Road, Redhead
• The replacement of sections of dividing centreline and the installation of no stopping line marking fronting house number 144 Andrew Road, Valentine
• The installation of 90-degree rear to kerb parking restrictions and BB centre line at house number 4 Gimberts Road, Morisset.
