Lake Macquarie City Council will re-open the Awaba Waste Management Facility to the public from tomorrow, Friday 17 April, in line with the latest advice from the NSW Government.

The NSW Government has advised people may leave their home to visit a waste facility to meet their household needs to dispose of waste.

For those who do visit the facility, electronic payments are preferred to protect the health of the community and Council employees.

Council would like to thank the community for their patience and understanding during this rapidly changing situation.

We continue to encourage the community to limit their travel for essential purposes only, and to stay at home to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
