Across our City, native animals become dependent on out backyards to survive when their own habitat is lost or damaged.
Whether you live in a house, unit or apartment, by allowing your backyard to become a habitat garden, you are helping local wildlife. Creating a wildlife-friendly habitat is easy and could be as little as building a birdbath, providing hollow shelter or planting native shrubs.
The Backyard Habitat for Wildlife program is free to join and provides and opportunity for you to help ensure the survival of local wildlife.
Backyard Habitat for Wildlife has been assisted by the NSW Government through its Environmental Trust.
The program builds on the Habitat for Wildlife program initiated by the Community Environment Network on the NSW Central Coast.
