Youth Week

NSW Youth Week will be held Thursday 11 until Sunday 21 April 2024. See below for an interactive schedule of the activities and events on offer this year.

Youth Week celebrates young people and their contribution to their local communities. It is now the largest annual youth participation event in Australia. Youth Week is a week that provides young people with an opportunity to express their views and act on issues that affect their lives.

Youth Week is an opportunity for young people to:

Raise the issues, ideas and concerns of young people
Develop strategies to address the issues important to young people
Increase the community’s awareness of young people and the issues that are important to them
Highlight young people’s contributions to the community

Basketball 2v2 comp and social night

Youth Week will include a two-on-two basketball competition and social night including barbecue and DJ music at the Swansea Centre.

Get in quick to secure a spot at this podcast content creation workshop with Community Activities Lake Macquarie as part of Youth Week 2024.

Lake Mac 2035 video competition

Young people are encouraged to have their voices heard by creating a video that shows their vision for Lake Mac.

Youth Week 2024 Grants

The Youth Week Grants Program is designed for young people to express their ideas and views, act on issues that affect their lives, and create and enjoy activities and events.
