Over 55s program
The Lake Macquarie Over 55s Program runs from February to November, annually, with a focus on health, safety and wellbeing. It delivers information sessions and activities to various locations across the Lake Macquarie City.
All events are free for people aged 55 years or over. Bookings are essential online or by calling 4921 0333.
There's a wide range of activities throughout Lake Macquarie, which are suitable for people over 55, including craft and hobby groups, gentle exercise groups, pension and seniors clubs and volunteer opportunities. The Rover is Lake Mac Libraries' mobile library service, connecting people across Lake Macquarie. The Rover visits retirement villages and areas not services by a branch, including Cameron Park, Rathmines and Cooranbong. You can access a range of library services, including reservations, DVDs and CDs, and a variety or fiction and non-fiction for all ages.
