Residents, landlords and businesses significantly impacted by COVID-19 can apply for financial hardship assistance under Council's COVID-19 Financial Hardship Assistance Policy. The policy will allow for interest on overdue rates to be waived and flexible payment plans put in place until 30 June 2022. Individuals, businesses and landlords will need to demonstrate they are experiencing hardship as a cause of a reduction in income or have had income ceased due to COVID-19.
Please note if you are experiencing financial hardship due to reasons unrelated to COVID-19 you are best to fill out our Financial Hardship Assistance application which supports cases unrelated to loss of income due to the pandemic.
Approval to access financial hardship assistance due to COVID-19 is made under Council's Financial Hardship Assistance policy.
