Bulk waste containers

Approval to place a bulk waste container on a public road reserve is required under Section 138 of the Roads Act 1993 and Section 68 of the Local Government Act 1993. Suppliers of bulk waste containers are required to maintain a current registration with Council (renewed annually); and submit an application for each container placement to gain this approval.

Residents will need to contact a BWC/skip bin supplier to arrange for a bin to be placed on Council land - these applications cannot be made directly by residents.

Application for a bin can only be made through a registered BWC/skip bin supplier – not through Council
