Sand Sculpting and Kite Flying

Want to make the best sand castles on the beach this summer? Join master sculptor Dennis Massoud for a sand sculpting workshop before putting your new skills to the test in a fun, family-friendly sand sculpting competition. You will be required to bring your own buckets (two per person are recommended)

Skills workshop from 9 - 9:30am
Sand sculpting competition from 9:30 - 11am

Competition categories:
- Family group (max. two adults, four children)
- Open (up to six adults) 

This year there will also be a kite flying demonstration on Blacksmiths beach. Watch as members of the Australian Kiteflyers Society fill the sky with large colourful kites. You are welcome to bring along your own kite to fly next to the kite demonstration area.
