Some of our services are taking a short break over Christmas and the New Year. There are no waste, recycling and green waste collections on Christmas Day. All waste collections between Wednesday 25-Friday 27 December will occur a day later than usual.
Our Customer Service Centre is temporarily located at Speers Point Library, adjacent to Council's Administration Building.
Do you love drawing? Would you like to illustrate a story to be published and distributed throughout Lake Macquarie?
Join us in the July school holidays for illustration workshops to create pictures for a book Lake Mac Libraries are producing for our “Go Wild for Libraries” “place-marker” project.
Bookings essential.
The first workshop is on Thursday 9 July, 1-4pm at Belmont Library and the second workshop is on Tuesday 14th July, 1-4pm at Warners Bay Theatre.
The “Go Wild for Libraries” project aims to promote and highlight public libraries in Lake Macquarie, by placing a variety of coloured, fibreglass animals at selected library branches.
About the illustrator: Kirrili Lonergan is a picture book illustrator and art therapist. She is one half of the dynamic duo of the 'Lessons of a Lac' series.
