Go Wild Illustration Workshop

Do you love drawing? Would you like to illustrate a story to be published and distributed throughout Lake Macquarie?

Join us in the July school holidays for illustration workshops to create pictures for a book Lake Mac Libraries are producing for our “Go Wild for Libraries” “place-marker” project.

Bookings essential.

  • Small group (maximum of 10 children per session)
  • Tuition by a published illustrator Kirrili Lonergan
  • Attendance at two workshops
  • Inclusion in the published book.
  • All materials supplied
  • Afternoon tea each day
  • for ages10 to 16 years

The first workshop is on Thursday 9 July, 1-4pm at Belmont Library and the second workshop is on Tuesday 14th July, 1-4pm at Warners Bay Theatre.

The “Go Wild for Libraries” project aims to promote and highlight public libraries in Lake Macquarie, by placing a variety of coloured, fibreglass animals at selected library branches.

About the illustrator: Kirrili Lonergan is a picture book illustrator and art therapist. She is one half of the dynamic duo of the 'Lessons of a Lac' series.

To ensure your safety we will ask questions around your health and travel, and keep contact details for traceability in the future. All participants are reminded to please follow safe physical distancing and health advice by keeping 1.5m apart, maintaining personal hygiene by regularly washing hands, and not attending if they feel unwell.
