What does an ideal home look and feel like to you?
My ideal home is one where the whole family feels safe and comfortable, where large windows allow fresh air and sunshine to stream into living and play areas, and there are a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces to give everyone the opportunity to get on with their lives at their own pace.

What are you looking for in the winning design?
The winning design will have creative solutions designed around the site and its context, with careful thought for both the end user and the building's on-going sustainability.

What's your favourite thing to do in Lake Macquarie?
I enjoy the feeling of freedom and relaxation created by walking along the lake foreshores and ocean coast on a warm sunny day.

Share a career highlight with us
I have been fortunate in the many opportunities available to me throughout my career and have had many highlights! The satisfaction of completing a project and knowing you have done a great job is very rewarding. I also enjoy learning new things and sharing that knowledge - the PIA Mentoring program is really great in that regard.

What are some of the most exciting things coming out of home design and building industry that excites you?
The opportunity to integrate passive energy features and new sustainable building practices is exciting. I also think the growing range of housing designs and styles to suit different household types will serve us well into the future.

What does wellbeing mean to you? How do you find balance in your life?
I've never been a fan of gyms or formal fitness programs, so for me wellbeing is about being able to integrate exercise into my daily routine. Good food and wine is important! A good night's sleep is also really important. Balance is an elusive concept - just ask my family! The key is to enjoy what you do.
