If you are lodging a development application you must submit a Statement of Environmental Effects (SEE) as part of your application.
This applies to all development applications except Designated Development and State Significant Development, which require an Environmental Impact Statement instead of a SEE. A SEE explains the likely impacts of a development proposal on the natural and built environment and must demonstrate how these impacts will be minimised. It also addresses how a development proposal complies with applicable legislative requirements.
