COVID safe summer

Our beaches and swim centres are popular, especially when conditions are hot. COVID restrictions remain in place, including social distancing requirements, and facility capacities apply. In the event our facilities reach capacity, we will be required to restrict entries at times to remain compliant with the public health order, and keep people safe.

Lifeguards keep distance

This year, summer in Lake Mac will look a little different than usual. As a community, we’ll need to do our bit to keep our public spaces open, safe and welcoming for everyone.

When heading out in Lake Mac, make sure you:

  • keep a towel length (1.5m) between you and other beachgoers
  • maintain 1.5m physical distance when enjoying our local parks and foreshore spaces
  • avoid crowded spots by visiting lesser known areas in your local neighbourhood
  • wash your hands regularly
  • wear a face mask when physical distancing isn’t possible
  • stay home if you’re unwell

Let’s work together to keep our public spaces COVID safe.
