Recycling Bin Collection
Your yellow-topped recycling bin is emptied fortnightly, the same day as your regular garbage collection day. Place your recycling bin at the kerb by 5:30am with the paper section facing the roadway.
Hunter Resource Recovery (HRR) provides this residential kerbside recycling service and a commercial recycling service for Lake Macquarie businesses.
HRR will be removing the divider from your recycling bin as it is no longer needed. HRR will advise when you will need to leave your recycling bin at the kerbside following your collection to allow the divider to be removed. Please do not attempt to remove the divider yourself.

Is your recycling bin always full? You can purchase an additional recycling bin for $74 per year. To organise an additional bin, contact Council's Customer Service Centre on 02 4921 0333.

It is very important that you recycle correctly. Should your recycling bin contain any amount of non-recyclable products, it may not be collected. It will only be serviced once the offending product has been removed and only on the next collection day.
Note: If your divider has been removed, you no longer need to separate paper and cardboard from your other recyclables. Simply place all of the accepted recyclables together.
