Disability Action Plan 2010-13
The Disability Action Plan 2010-13 outlines Council's strategies and work program to improve access to services and facilities for people with a disability.
Strategies include:
- the provision of accessible toilet facilities, ramps and lifts to Council’s community and recreational facilities;
- a partnership with the Australian Human Rights Commission to promote access for people with a disability in the built environment;
- a partnership with Vision Australia to provide increased access to resources for people with a vision impairment;
- a project that will identify the need for supported accommodation options for young adults with physical disabilities who have ageing parents as carers.
