Living Smart Festival is on this weekend!
Date Posted: 14 September 2012
Arrive in style at the Living Smart Festival on Saturday 15 September with free transport available to get you to Speers Point Park.
This year the Festival will be even more sustainable, with free shuttle buses and ferries running all day to get people to and from the Festival. Or ride along and have your bike valet parked in the secure area.
Council’s Manager Sustainability, Alice Howe, said this year there are even more transport options available.
“We’re encouraging everyone who’s coming along on the day to use one of the free transport options and help us reduce the City’s carbon footprint,” Dr Howe said.
“If you’re coming along to the Festival, why not get on your bike, enjoy the spring weather and take advantage of the free valet bicycle parking.
“Or, if you’d prefer to travel by water, we will have ferries operating throughout the day from Belmont, Toronto, Valentine and Speers Point Park.
“We will also have a shuttle bus picking up from Warners Bay foreshore, Stockland Glendale and Cockle Creek Train Station to take people to and from Speers Point Park.”
