What parks are available for hire?
  • Speers Point Park - Divided into 5 outdoor areas (area 1 includes the open shelter), there is also an enclosed shed and a stage area available for hire.
  • Croudace Bay Park - Divided into 2 areas, both areas include an open shelter.
  • Rathmines Park - Open grassed area adjacent to the F jetty and also the grassed area adjacent to the Community Hall.
  • Pelican Foreshore - Divided into 2 areas.

What type of activites require a booking?

Birthday parties with either a large number of attendees and/or amusement devices, family reunions with a large number of attendees, company picnics, annual events, fundraising events, special events, carols by candlelight functions, carnivals, trade shows or exhibitions, circuses etc.

What is the procedure for booking a park?
  • Contact Council's Customer Service Centre on 4921 0333, who will take a tentative booking for you.
  • The Customer Service Centre will post out an application form and a quotation based on basic fees for hire of the park.
  • You complete the application form and return to Council.
  • Community Planning staff will assess your application and send you a tax invoice for payment and/or a letter requesting additional information.
  • On receipt of payment and/or any additional information requested, a confirmation of your booking will be forwarded.

Is there a fee to book a Council Park?

Yes.  These areas attract fees which depend on the type of activity which is to be held.  A full list of fees and charges applicable can be found in the Pricing Policy.

Can I still use a park if it is not a bookable park?

Yes. However you can not erect any amusement devices or erect any marquee's which are larger than the average backyard gazebo (3mx3m).
