Community, Sporting and Cultural Assistance Program (Council Funding)

Lake Macquarie City Council recognises the contribution of local organisations to the life of the City and invites applications from community, sporting and cultural organisations for the Community/Cultural/Sport Assistance Program. Council offers three closing rounds of funding on 1 February, 1 June, and 1 October.

The Community and Cultural Assistance Program is a donations program that aims to:

  • support cultural, sporting and community projects, events, and activities occurring within the Lake Macquarie Local Government area
  • foster or provide new services, initiatives, and resources which address the needs of the City community
  • support cumulative improvements to services, and activities, designed to meet community needs, through the provision of one-off grants
  • improve awareness and use of cultural and community services, and resources in the City.
  • create opportunities which develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence of community members
  • encourage increased participation in local community and cultural activities, building a greater sense of community contribution to a vibrant cultural and community life in Lake Macquarie
  • build upon the capacity of organisations to contribute to the diverse character and unique identity of the City
