Two weeks ago, I attended the opening of the Lake Macquarie Women’s Forum 2010 at Toronto. It was an inaugural event, organisedby the Quigley Co-operative Women’s Initiative and was opened by the NSW Governor, Professor Marie Bashir.

World Music at the Living Smart Festival

A one-of-a-kind solar powered stage will feature the best in world music at the Living Smart Festival at Speers Point Park on Sunday 12 September. This event has attracted some nationally recognised acts, including bands Watussi, Dead Letter Chorus (indie/folk rock), King Tide (reggae), Black Bird Hum (acoustic) and music from One World DJ.
